PTE Academic Test Format

  • The PTE Academic exam consists of three main sections: Speaking & Writing, Reading, and Listening.

  • Listening (30–43 minutes)

  • This section evaluates your ability to understand spoken English through academic lectures and conversations. It includes:
  • Summarize Spoken Text: Write a summary based on an audio clip.
  • Multiple-choice, choose single/multiple answers
  • Fill in the Blanks: Type missing words while listening to a recording.
  • Highlight Correct Summary: Choose the best summary of the audio.
  • Select Missing Word: Identify the correct word to complete the recording.
  • Highlight Incorrect Words: Identify words in the transcript that differ from the audio.
